River View Lodge

Lodge style Affordable and comfortable

Green oasis

River View Lodge is an oasis of tranquillity, set on the banks of the Chobe River, offering a no frills, affordable stay. And sometimes that is just what you are looking for. No frills doesn’t mean you won’t receive dedicated attention or service though. Expect a very attentive staff who always go the extra mile for their guests. You will enjoy the clean and comfortable chalets and rooms, delicious, freshly homemade food, beautiful green surroundings to wander around and re-energize in, and a location close to the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe – ideal for a daytrip to Victoria Falls. And there is plenty to explore close to the lodge. Take a boat cruise, visit a local village or a crocodile farm, hop on a game drive, or drink sundowners at sunset. There won’t be much room in your schedule to be bored, so make sure you take some time to just walk through the well-maintained gardens and soak up the calming, lush greenery. Or reminisce about your encounter with one of the many elephants: Chobe is home to a spectacular elephant population, not to mention the abundance of other wildlife, including lion, leopard, giraffe, buffalo and hippos - Chobe is a destination you won’t want to miss. This river lodge provides your perfect safari home.

As you stroll through the lush surroundings, you will discover ten tastefully appointed en-suite rooms and chalets set amongst beautifully manicured gardens. Each is styled for great comfort and convenience: they all boast spacious, comfortable bedding, a private veranda, spacious en-suite bathroom and air conditioning. If you are looking for even more comfort and space, River View Lodge also offers a private home on either a full service or self-catering basis. Stay with close friends or family in this home away from home and relax in the large open-plan living area or on the private veranda overlooking the Chobe River. The house also comes with an en suite double bedroom, additional guest lavatory and a garden. Would you enjoy some wildlife talk with other guests after an exciting safari day? Meet other enthusiasts in one of the charming central guest spaces, including a lounge, bar, dining area and pool. All the areas overlook the Chobe River and offer ideal places to unwind after a day of exploring the surrounds.

Tripadvisor comments River View Lodge

The River View Lodge is a great, safe place to stay, especially for the price. They offer a breakfast and dinner buffet for an extra fee, but it is worth it. the Food is home cooked and delicious. The property is gated-in and along the Chobe river. Its location is central, close to town and close to the Chobe National Park gates for entrance in the morning. The staff was wonderful!
